Cosmological horizons radiate

چکیده
Abstract Gibbons and Hawking ( Phys. Rev. D , 15 (1977) 2738) have shown that the horizon of de Sitter space emits radiation in same way as event black hole. But actual cosmological horizons are not horizons, except space. Nevertheless, this paper proves Gibbons' Hawking's formula an exact result for any flat expanding with strictly positive Hubble parameter. The gives visual intuitive insight into why is case. also indicates how related to dynamical Casimir effect, which makes experimental tests laboratory analogues possible.

instantons, and cosmological horizons
We consider the possibility that tunneling in a degenerate double-well potential in de Sitter spacetime leads to coherent oscillations of quantum probability to find the system in a given well. We concentrate on the case when the mass scale of the potential is much larger than the Hubble parameter and present a procedure for analytical continuation of the “time”-dependent instantons, which allo...
متن کاملWormholes in spacetimes with cosmological horizons
A generalisation of the asymptotic wormhole boundary condition for the case of spacetimes with a cosmological horizon is proposed. In particular, we consider de Sitter spacetime with small cosmological constant. The wave functions selected by this proposal are exponentially damped in WKB approximation when the scale factor is large but still much smaller than the horizon size. In addition, they...
متن کاملHolography of 3D flat cosmological horizons.
We provide a first derivation of the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of 3D flat cosmological horizons in terms of the counting of states in a dual field theory. These horizons appear in the flat limit of nonextremal rotating Banados-Teitleboim-Zanelli black holes and are remnants of the inner horizons. They also satisfy the first law of thermodynamics. We study flat holography as a limit of AdS(3)/C...
متن کاملObservational Implications of Cosmological Event Horizons
In a universe dominated by a small cosmological constant or by eternal dark energy with equation of state w < −1/3, observers are surrounded by event horizons. The horizons limit how much of the universe the observers can ever access. We argue that this implies a bound N ∼ 60 on the number of e-folds of inflation that will ever be observable in our universe if the scale of the dark energy today...
متن کاملA Brief Comment on Instanton-like Singularities and Cosmological Horizons
We argue that in the presence of instanton-like singularities, the existence of cosmological horizons can become frame-dependent, ie. a horizon which appears in Einstein frame may not appear in string frame. We speculate on the relation between instanton-like singularities and the formulation of quantum gravity in de Sitter space. e-mail address:[email protected]
